Moreland BUG ride

Details

Continuing our highly enjoyable series of Moreland BUG Wednesday rides we will have a leisurely ride off-road to St Kilda (and beyond). We will head south on the Upfield Shared Path to Park Street, along the Capital City Trail to the Moonee Ponds Creek, through Docklands then down the light rail line to Port Melbourne. We will then ride along the foreshore till we get hungry. We have the option of catching the train or riding home.

Bring bike, sunscreen, wet weather gear, water, MYKI, snacks, lunch (and/or
money).

Pace will be leisurely depending on requirements of the group.

November Full Moon Ride

Details

Being a midweek ride, a short one, leaving Jacana Station (one of the Earth’s great beauty spots), heading east along the ring-road trail and then south down the Merri Creek Trail.

Catch the 6:24 Craigieburn train from Flinders Street or meet at Jacana Station. Supper might be at Coburg lake, or earlier by demand.

Do your shopping before boarding the train, as we will head straight out from Jacana. Not that there is anything resembling civilisation near Jacana Station in any case.

Ride Across Tasmania

Meeting place: Spirt of Tasmania Ferry Terminal Melbourne Or Devonport

This seems a good time of year to do this ride, very little traffic. Hopefully   it will be challenging hilly and fun. The plan is to start from Devonport and ride  across the centre of Tasmania down to Hobart.

What to bring: Panniers, bags, clothes, tools, tubes, first aid kit, etc.

You Will need to book your own TRANSPORT and Accommodation  places are listed below

Here’s the basic route, will allow 6-7 days

Day 1 : Overnight/ Ferry Melbourne  to Devonport

Day 2 : Devonport to Deloraine 60km

Day 3 : Deloraine to Miena 69km this day will involve quite a bit of climbing

Day 4 : Rest day ?

Day 5 : Miena to Bothwell 63km

Day 6 : Bothwell to Richmond 66km

Day 7 : Richmond to finish Hobart 30km Buses will transport bike but can only take 2 at a time please check website listed above for updates
