The Hell of the Northcote is looming! No two Roobaix’s are ever the same – and here some things that are new about the 2019 Melburn Roobaix that you definitely want to stuff in your mental musette.
A brand new START location that is only a short ride from the finish at Brunswick Velodrome with easy access by bike trail, train and a only 2.5km ride from a central place to park your car during the day if that’s your plan.
The slighty shorter route of 44.44km but packed with more pavé and laughs. 3 Brand new cobbled sectors, a selection that haven’t been used in over 10 years, and parts of Melburn never pounded.
Get your gruppetto together, brandish your bicycle, cobble your costume together and prepare for the best day in the saddle of 2018, culminating in a lap of the glorious Brunswick Velodrome where you can sink a beverage, belgian frites, dutch donuts and more to celebrate an epic day of fun.

Revitalise Sydney Road and Bicycle Network could use your help! VicRoads has launched a consultation on Sydney Road, and we want to make sure that the community is at the heart of any change.
Here’s how you can get involved:
We’ll be calling members of the Bicycle Network in the Brunswick area to let them know about the survey, and we could use some volunteers to spread the word.
We’ll be running phone banking events on Tuesdays and Thursdays at Bicycle Network’s headquarters – 4/246 Bourke Street in Melbourne.
Tuesday – July 2nd
If you’d rather meet with people face to face, come along to our street stall. We’ll be running them over the next two Saturdays out front of Barkly Square.
Saturday – July 6th

Rider numbers are capped at 5,000 to give people the best experience along the way.
The Great Vic is about having time away in the country where you can ride, relax and do it your way.
Highlights include:

- South Australia’s Limestone Coast including Robe and Mount Gambier’s Blue Lake
- Picture postcard Otway Ranges rainforest including one of Victoria’s best kept secrets, Turtons Track
